Samoura insisted on the reinstatement of the suspended FKF administration.

The international governing body of Football(FIFA) on Sunday Night, November 14, demanded an urgent virtual meeting with Cabinet Secretary of Sports Amina Mohammed.

FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura wrote to CS Amina seeking to have a meeting to resolve the current situation to avoid suspension of FKF by FIFA.

In recognizing the Government's effort to find a long-lasting solution to the Football Kenya Federation, Samoura insisted on the reinstatement of the suspended FKF administration.

"Going forward, without prejudice to the allegations that have been raised and any potential trial for offences that may have been committed, FIFA and CAF are asking you to consider the reinstatement of the FKF Executive Committee as prior thereto.

"FIFA and CAF administrations are prepared to work closely with FKF and your office representatives - as it has already been the case in the recent past-to normalize the situation," the statement read in part.

Additionally, Samoura termed the caretaker committee appointed to run for six months as illegal and the CS's decision as going against FIFA's principle of member associations by being independent of third parties.

CS Amina disbanded the FKF officials led by Nick Mwendwa on November 12 following an audit report received from Sports registrar Rose Wasike unearthing irregularities on the money allocated by the Government.

To oversee the continuation of operations, Amina formed a caretaker committee led by the Former Director of the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission, Aaron Ringera and with the secretariate led by Linda Ogutta.

A day after the appointment, embattled FKF president Nick Mwendwa was arrested by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation and was grilled for four hours.
