A section of Kirinyaga residents has told Woman Rep Purity Ngirici to tame her husband Andrew Ngirici or risk losing votes.

This was evidenced after a majority of them took to the comment section of the MP's Facebook post where she shared a video of her struggling to address a hostile crowd that was heckling her in Kirinyaga.

"Andrew should not run the show; at least not in public. Kirinyaga people are at crossroads- who will be the governor? Purity or Andrew? My one pence advice/ opinion," Charles Ndirugu said.

"Am wondering what mzee is after in Kirinyaga! He isn't vying for any seat na kelele na kifua na kuongea mingi.Huyo atafanya upoteze kura Sana.Even waiguru has a husband but ako kimya akipanga. People are thinking otherwise," Kiarie Ndungu added.

Others added Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho to the list of people she should dissociate from saying he risked watering her political gains.

"Madam two things you need to fix to have a meaningful comeback, Kibicho to us supporters of WSR is a big NO. The guy hates Ruto and we hate him back big time. Your hubby and your number one fun should consider reducing his abrasive politics," Sheila Nyokabi opined.

Another netizen Identified as Tall Taller said: "your support on Kibicho with your hubby who is fighting our doyen always will kill your dreams... avoid him like a plague".

Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday, November 28, staged several rallies in Kirinyaga County where MP Ngirici, who is seeking UDA party gubernatorial ticket, and Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru stared each other down as their supporters clashed.

The ugly confrontation between the two's supporters went ugly as campaign merchandise of Governor Waiguru were burnt hours before the DP arrived at Kianyaga ACK church.

DP Ruto in his attempt to calm the warring teams said he will ensure the will of the people carries the day through universal suffrage.

He promised the one who will lose the nomination a government appointment after the UDA party forms the government.
