"I am scheduled for stem cell surgery this week. This is a rare surgery and I will be among the pioneers to undergo it in the world," Kuria as quoted by Capital FM.

When he first opened on his ordeal, he stated that he had bought the mat in one of Total Ceragem Africa Limited outlets in Nairobi after being referred by a friend as a way to cure the numbness on his feet.

The company apologized to the lawmaker, noting that their products had never registered a complaint.

However, Kuria insinuated that he had reached out to the Directorate Criminal Investigations while urging Kenyans to seek products certified by the Kenya Bureau of Standards(KEBS).

"The company must take responsibility. I have contacted the Directorate of Criminal Investigation, a criminal and civil process is taking place because I do believe that this issue is of fundamental and paramount importance to Kenyans that I will ensure I get to the bottom of it," Kuria remarked.
