Ledama apologized to Kenyans over the conduct of parliamentarians witnessed during the debate on the Political Parties Amendment Bill 2021.

Ledama apologized to Kenyans over the conduct of parliamentarians witnessed during the debate on the Political Parties Amendment Bill 2021.

He went on to question NA Speaker Muturi what were the standing orders for in relation to the chaos witnessed.

"We have reduced parliament into a Shithole!@SpeakerJBMuturiwhat are standing orders in the National Assembly for? There was nothing honourable about parliament and all those present yesterday. I am sorry Kenyans," Ledama opined.

The Speaker was quick to respond, shifting blame to the voters for electing the said leaders.

"The voters get as good as they vote in. Gabbage in gabbage out. Don’t blame me," Muturi defended himself.

The chaos that broke in parliament left Sigowet Soin MP Benard Koin with an eye injury while Suba East MP John Mbadi sustained injuries on his finger.

The speaker in the special parliamentary proceedings banned the Minority leader from attending sessions for five consecutive sittings.
