Mwangi said a local TV cancelled a contract he had signed with them for airing his film after he disagreed with Governor Mutua.

Activist Boniface Mwangi has revealed that he lost a deal with a local media station shortly after his confrontation with Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua.

In response to a tweep, who said he lost a deal allegedly because of his association with the activist, Mwangi said a local TV cancelled a contract he had signed with them for airing his film allegedly because of being bold and unapologetic.

At the same, he revealed that singer Julius Owino, alias Juliani, also recently lost a corporate deal for allegedly falling in love, supposedly with Governor Mutua's ex-wife Lilian Ng'ang'a.

"I’m sorry @RealAstar. @ntvkenya cancelled our contract to show @softiethefilm after that Mutua fiasco. @JulianiKenya also lost a corporate deal for falling in love.

"Kenya corporate companies are hesitant to work with bold, unapologetic Kenyans. They prefer partnering with clowns," he tweeted.

The statement sparked several other revelations by Mwangi's friends who revealed that they had suffered a similar fate because of their association with the activist.

"Remember that proposal we did with you that we lost because of “political affiliation” the brand had that might piss the big boys off having you associated with the brand?" a social media user identified as Ahmad Salim reminded Mwangi.

The controversial Activist further raised concerns about why he and his associates have been denied deals because of their "political views".

He faulted corporate institutions for being unfair and afraid of people who are fighting for justice.

"...I have never been accused or charged for corruption, hate or any form of violence but fighting for Kenyans isn’t an acceptable value by corporates. Activism is seen as a bad thing. Imagine that!" He lamented.

The activist was embroiled in a confrontation with Governor Mutua whom he accused of sending people to bomb his house in Athi River that is under construction.

Mwangi cited his association with Juliani and Ng'ang'a as the reason for his tribulations.

Governor Mutua, however, denied the allegations.
