MP Chege lamented over the lack of progress in the party saying it is time that the outfit gives its members a way forward.

Murang'a Woman Representative Sabina Chege has threatened to quit the ruling Jubilee party if plans to revamp the party fail to take place as soon as possible.

Speaking to members of the press in Murang'a, the Kieleweke MP lamented over the lack of progress in the party saying it is time that the outfit gives its members a way forward.

"We want to be given direction whether we are launching Jubilee so that we can kick off our political activities with the required energy.

'You can't even print a poster now because the party has simply blocked us by failing to give us direction. We want them to give us the way forward as soon as possible," she said.

According to Sabina, if in February the party would not have done anything to direct its members on their political future, they will be forced to seek comfort elsewhere.

"If they continue dilly-dallying then we will be forced to seek alternatives because we are running out of time. We want to have a proper direction when it reaches February," she warned.

At the same time, the MP added that the Mt Kenya region will this time vote for leaders and not parties.

Chege, who is eyeing Murang'a gubernatorial seat, has promised her residents that she will embark on massive campaigns beginning February.

"This time around we will not elect parties. We are going to elect the development record of a person.

"By February, I will kick off my local political activities where I will be meeting my grassroots people so that we strategies for the future," she added.

On any changes in his political future, the woman rep said; "I am a prayerful person, people can talk much but for me, I will wait for the holy spirit".
