In an update on his Twitter page, Muitiriri announced that he will be joining TV47 as a Swahili news anchor

Journalist Frederick Muitiriri has landed a new job days after losing his job at Switch TV where he worked as a news anchor.

He worked at the Red Cross-owned station for two years before the station's management reached an agreement to close down and venture into the digital media. 

In an update on his Twitter page, Muitiriri announced that he will be joining TV47 as a Swahili news anchor.  

"On Dec 31st 2021, my former station officially closed and rendered many of us jobless, COVID-19 manenos, but by 5th of Jan 2022, God had already opened a new door at TV47, Home of Untold Stories!" He wrote in part. 

Muitiriri thanked God for his new job, further wishing God's favour on his social media followers. 

“I serve a God who neither sleeps nor slumbers. He is a kind and a loving God, He is a good God. He's a miracle worker! I hope that this will convince you that you can actually give your life to Him to truly direct your paths! Bwana Asifiwe," he added.

Before moving to Switch TV, Muitiriri was working for Royal Media Services' Inooro TV and he was part of the staff laid off due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  

"This is to show you how Mighty and Powerful our God is.Is He not the one who stopped river Jordan for His elected to pass, isn't He the one who says He'll never leave us nor forsake us?

"He surely does hear our prayers, whenever we pray! Your prayers have been heard! He reigns! He Reigns! To my media colleagues, this cloud will surely pass," Muitiriri said in an update after joining Switch TV. 

Before joining Inooro TV, Muitiriri used to work with Standard Group-owned station Radio Maisha as a news and continuity presenter.
