According to Kibicho, the transfers and deployment take effect immediately.

Interior Permanent Secretary Karanja Kibicho has made a raft of changes affecting some regional and county commissioners.

In the changes dated January 12, William Kangethe Thuku who was serving at the office of the President will now be the regional commissioner of Nairobi.

In other changes, Narok County Commissioner Evans Mong'are Achoki has been promoted to a Regional Commissioner of the Eastern region.

Isaiah Aregai Nakoru who was serving as the Eastern regional commissioner is now headed to the Western Region in the same capacity.

Esther Wamuyu Maina who was in charge of the Western region now heads the Central region in the same capacity.

Nairobi's regional commissioner James Kyalo Kianda is now headed to the North-Eastern region.

The North Eastern regional boss Nicodemus Ndalana has been transferred to the office of the President.

Wilfred Agage Nyangwanga who was in charge of Central has been transferred to the office of the President.

Kibicho also replaced outgoing Rift Valley Commissioner George Natembeya with Makueni County Commissioner Mohamed Maalim Ahmed.

According to Kibicho, the transfers and deployment take effect immediately.

Natembeya who announced his resignation will be serving his notice while working at the office of the President.

The renowned RC has joined politics and will be eyeing the Trans Nzoia gubernatorial seat in the August polls hence his resignation.
