Activist Boniface Mwangi has raised concerns over the state of affairs in Mombasa County.
In a statement on Facebook, the activist stated that the county's hygiene condition is deteriorating.
He adds that despite being Kenya's biggest city, the town is becoming a growing slum save for some areas.
"Away from the beach and some parts of Nyali, Mombasa is just one big dusty, a dirty slum," he stated.
According to the activist, the city's situation has been caused by poor leadership.

He asked residents to up their game in the August 9 polls and ensure that they elect someone who is able to deliver the city back to its former glory and even make it better.
Mwangi appeared to attack the Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho for failing on his mandate.
"I hope they don’t elect another socialite as their governor in this coming election. Mombasa’s potential is immense, but it has very shallow thinking leaders. Mombasa, stop electing Instagram models!" He added.
Governor Joho is serving his second and last term in office.
He is yet to announce his future political direction.
His leadership has been marred with accusations of failures in some areas among them, maintenance of sewerage system and addressing doctors concerns.
