  • Sossion who has been a member of the ODM party recently ditched it for DP Ruto's UDA.

Former Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary General Wilson Sossion has said that dumping ODM leader Raila Odinga's party for Deputy President William Ruto's UDA has brought him a lot of abuse.

Taking to twitter on Saturday, Sossion said that the abuse is especially from their competitors.

He said the competitors are exhibiting ethnic bitterness towards hi and that they should leave him alone.

"I have been an ardent supporter of @RailaOdinga in past elections. However, My Change of political stand has invited unnecessary abuse from a section of our competitors who are exhibiting ethnic bitterness towards me. They should shut up and leave me alone!" said Sossion.

The Ex-KNUT boss added that his mission is to champion for the interests of the people of Bomet County whom he wants to represent as Senator in the August 9th, 2022 elections.

He noted that he has never mentioned ODM boss Raila Odinga in any of his campaigns and doesn't intend to do it any time soon.

"Let it be known that I have never mentioned @RailaOdinga anywhere in my campaigns and I do not intend to. My mission is simple, to represent the interests of Bomet County and it’s people that I cherish."

Sossion resigned as KNUT boss in June 2021.

He is currently serving as a nominated Member of Parliament under the ODM party.
