After his release from police custody on Wednesday, Wanjigi accused Raila of being behind his arrest that saw Anti Terror Police Unit (ATPU) raid his Kwacha offices in Westlands.

Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina has defended ODM party leader Raila Odinga against claims that he is behind businessman Jimi Wanjigi's chaotic arrest on Tuesday evening.

After his release from police custody on Wednesday, Wanjigi accused Raila of being behind his arrest that saw Anti Terror Police Unit (ATPU) raid his Kwacha offices in Westlands.

However, speaking on Citizen TV, Ledama refuted the claims accusing Wanjigi of blaming the former Prime Minister for his troubles instead of facing it like other leaders.

"Raila Amollo Odinga did not go and take the police to go and attack Jimmy Wanjigi's house. I think let's divorce issues here. There is a legal battle, let Jimmy Wanjigi who is a good friend of mine face his legal issues

"We all have our legal issues but we shouldn't be blaming people. Whatever troubles that I find myself in I should be able to face them and defend myself without blaming others," said the Senator.

Ledama urged Wanjigi to let the law run its course without politicising politicising the matter and blaming others which he maintained that it never solves the case.

"I know it's a political season but the truth of the matter is there are issues to be investigated, we allow the Judiciary to play its role

"The truth of the matter is that if there is an issue that DCI or the public prosecution that think Jimmy Wajingi is involved in he can go through the due process of the law. We really have to move away from this issue of blame games because it doesn't help us," he added.

Wanjigi was arrested on Tuesday but released on Wednesday on grounds of conservatory orders issued on Tuesday restraining the Inspector General (IG) and the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) from arresting Wanjigi.

"In light of the submissions by the parties herein, it is noted that the high court issued conservative orders

"Therefore this matter cannot proceed unless the petition is heard," said Magistrate Ochoi.
