The remains of a missing truck driver were on Sunday discovered along the Naivasha-Mai Mahiu road.

The driver went missing on Saturday while transporting bitumen worth millions of shillings.

He was carrying 150 drums of bitumen from Mombasa to Nairobi when he went missing.

He was reportedly abducted by people who are believed to have disappeared with the products.

His remains were discovered by herders at Kedong ranch. 

The abductors are said to have driven towards Naivasha after abducting and later killing him.

Naivasha OCPD Samuel Waweru confirmed the incident said the driver's body parts including his head and legs were missing.

He said the truck which he was driving was found parked in Naivasha town with the driver's seat soaked in blood.

Two suspects linked to her disappearance and murder have been arrested and are in detention.
