After hacking their 60-year-old father to death, the two are said to have disappeared never to be seen.

Police in Kisii are pursuing two men suspected of slaying their father to death.

A statement by DCI boss George Kinoti indicates that the two committed the offence at Kiamisiori Bogetunya Village in Kisii on Sunday morning.

After hacking their 60-year-old father to death, the two are said to have disappeared never to be seen.

"Boniface Osoro Saisi alias Bob and Getaro Osoro disappeared immediately after the 9 am incident, dropping along a slasher and a kitchen knife believed to be the killer weapons," the DCI boss said in a statement.

The Statement adds that the deceased was found soaked in a pool of blood by neighbours who were responding to distress calls raised by the deceased.

They found the suspects had already vanished. The motive of the tragedy is yet to be established.

"Neighbours found him soaked in a pool of blood, with deep cuts on the left collar bone, chest and the right wrist. The suspects sneaked away before responders could pounce on them," the statement added.

The authority is now pursuing the suspects even as investigations on their deaths continues.

"Should you have information that may assist in the arrest of these suspects, call our toll-free hotline 0800 722 203. Usiogope!" DCI urged.

Cases of domestic violence have been on the rise in recent times with many of them leading to deaths.

Kenyans have been urged to exercise caution and seek alternative conflict resolution mechanisms rather than resorting to violence that has resulted in numerous deaths.
