Kalunde told the court that investigations by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) revealed that Wanjigi is part of a syndicate that forged title deeds to her land.

The case against billionaire businessman Jimi Wanjigi involving a disputed parcel of land has taken an interesting twist.

This is after a woman moved to court seeking to be enjoined in the case as an interested party. Cissy Kalunde Musembi stated that she is the registered owner of the parcel of land and that it already has another pending case at the Lands and Environment Court.

Kalunde told the court that investigations by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) revealed that Wanjigi is part of a syndicate that forged title deeds to her land.

“There is urgent need for the court to consider the joinder application of the Interested Party/ Applicant before the directions are issued in the matter to allow the court to see through the fraud and theft that was hatched and designed

“With the aim of fraudulently snatching away from the Interested Party/ Applicant the property known as Land Reference Number 1870/11/200 comprised in grant registered as number IR. No.65800/1," court papers read.

She argued that the orders issued to the police restraining the arrest of Wanjigi and other perpetrators are part of a move to protect persons who want to defraud her land.

The land which is located in Westlands area, Nairobi is valued at Ksh56 million.
