Deputy President William Ruto has accused ODM leader Raila Odinga of teaming up with Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa to divide Western region voters.

Speaking in Tongaren, Trans Nzoia County, the DP said the CS' DAP-K Party is part of ODM and it was formed in a bid to disrupt the UDA wave in most parts of the region.

"Mnaskia kuna watu wengine wachache, ati wanatumiwa kutugawanya, hawa watu wametengenezewa chama. Nawauliza, mkiona Eseli na Eugene wanaweza kutengeneza chama? Wako na uwezo wa kutengeneza chama?

"Hawa ni watu wametengenezewa chama, ni vibaraka wa mtu wa kitendawili (Raila)," DP Ruto said.

On the other hand, ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi disclosed how Eugene was appointed to President Uhuru Kenyatta's cabinet, noting that they had both been offered jobs by the Head of State.

"Eugene Wamalwa anatembea akisema yeye ni patron wa DAP-K lakini kama anaamini Mungu aje akane kwamba President Uhuru alitupea nafasi tuwe katika serikali yake

"Nilimwachia Eugene kwa sababu nilitaka kubaki independent," the ANC boss said.

This comes a day after Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala claimed that Uhuru wants Raila to ascend to power so that he could deputise him and remain in power.

Malala urged the Head of State to retire post-August 9 General Elections and pave way for young leaders to take over power.

"Mmeona rais Uhuru Kenyatta anaanza kufikiria ati kwamba aeke Raila akue president alafu yeye akuje akue deputy wa Raila tena. Nyinyi mnaeza ruhusu hiyo maneno kweli? Ati Raila president, Uhuru deputy president

"We want to tell Uhuru, umebaki na miezi mbili; pack your belongings and go to Gatundu. Kama lazima mtuletee kiongozi kutoka Mt Kenya tuko na kina Ndindi Nyoro na vijana ambao pia wanaeza kua marais," Malala said amid cheers from the crowd.
