"The chest pains he had been experiencing for a while turned into Pneumonia and one of his lungs collapsed."

"Sean has been hospitalised for a while now. The chest pains he had been experiencing for a while turned into Pneumonia and one of his lungs collapsed.

"He also had an infection around his heart. He is receiving professional treatment and he is improving but needs monitoring and further care," reads a poster on seeking financial support.

The message has been widely shared by Kenyan journalists on social media who have appealed to Kenyans to help him in footing his expenses.

Sean has over 20 years of experience working in Kenyan media.

He was laid off by NTV during the Covid-19 period together with the likes of Ken Mijungu and Debarl Inea.

He began his career at KTN before joining Capital FM. He later proceeded to Seychelles where he worked for 7 years before coming back to Kenya.

He joined Nation Media Group in 20014 where he worked until 2020.

He has interviewed veteran athletes like Paul Tergat and Haile Gebreselassie.
