"I hereby give notice that I will resign from my beloved Jubilee the day it endorses Hon Raila as our party’s PROJECT for the 9.8.2022 Presidential election," he tweeted.

Ahmednasir has been critical of the former Prime Minister disparaging him on his social media handles even as he appears friendly to Ruto.

The Lawyer, who has acted for Ruto in some cases, is expected that he will join Ruto despite having said he is neutral.

This comes even as the ruling Jubilee party is expected to hold NDC on February 25 and 26.

The NDC will culminate in a joint session with the ODM where the ODM leader Raila Odinga will be endorsed for the presidency.

Jubilee had announced that it will not field a presidential candidate in the August 9, polls.

ODM party has also slated his NDC on the same dates as Jubilee.

Deputy President William Ruto has on the other hand scheduled his NDC on March 15.

Ruto will be endorsed for the presidency on the said date given that the agenda of the meeting include the nomination of a presidential candidate.
