Wanjigi stated that he is in attendance as a guest. He dismissed talks of an alliance between Safina and UDA.

Billionaire businessman Jimi Wanjigi is among the guests that have graced the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) National Delegates Convention (NDC) held at the Kasarani Indoor Arena.

Wanjigi, a former member of Raila Odinga-led ODM, decamped from the party and since joined Paul Muite's Safina Party where he is the presidential candidate.

Speaking after gracing the UDA, NDC, Wanjigi stated that he is in attendance as a guest. He dismissed talks of an alliance between Safina and UDA.

"Tumekuja as invited guests. Hakuna muungano. Huu ni urafiki," Wanjigi said.

The businessman arrived at the NDC in the company of Gatundu South Member of Parliament and Chama Cha Kazi Party Leader Moses Kuria.

Several other leaders have since graced the NDC, as they forge a coalition ahead of the August 9 general election.

ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, Ford-Kenya's Moses Wetangula, are among leaders in attendance. The Service Party (TSP) leader Mwangi Kiunjuri is also in attendance.
