Editor's Review

Lately, NTV has poached a number of KTN journalists.

NTV Kenya has yet again raided the Standard Media group's established talents.

Former Standard Editor Roselyne Obala has been appointed Planning and Research Editor NTV Kenya in a move that seeks to ensure that the Kimathi Street media houses remain competitive in the media environment.

Obala is a veteran journalist who focused on political matters in the country and governance.

At Standard Group PLC, prior to becoming an editor, she was a senior reporter assigned to cover the Parliament of Kenya.

Obala serves at the Media Council of Kenya as Media Development and Training Committee Chairperson and member of the Regulatory Affairs and Finance and Administration Committees.

Her appointment to the new role was well received by MCK who congratulated her for the new assignment.

"Felicitations on your appointment as planning and research editor at NTV. We are proud of your achievements in the media space and wish you success in your new assignment," MCK said.

Lately, NTV has poached a number of KTN journalists.

Among those hired from the Mombasa road-based station include  Investigative journalist Brian Obuya, News Anchor Frida Mwaka, Lofty Matambo and news editor Ben Kitili.

This is part of its reorganization as the country heads to the August 9 polls where demand for news is very high.

Just a week ago, NTV poached Citizen TV's editorial director Joe Ageyo. Ageyo was appointed the editorial director of the Broadcast Section of the Nation Media Group.
