Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina now says President-elect William Ruto has managed to Kill democracy in Kenya. 

In a statement, the  senator accused the president elect for taking control of the legislative arm of the government warning that it is a sign of a looming danger for the country.

Ledama said Kenyans should therefore brace themselves for a tough time once Ruto takes over the Presidency.

"Today marks the death of democracy in Kenya. We no longer subscribe to the principle of separation of powers! @WilliamsRuto has succeeded in ending the independence of the legislative arm of government. From next Wednesday brace yourself for a rough rollercoaster ride," he said.

The remarks came after the Kenya Kwanza Alliance scooped all elective seats in the Senate and National Assemblies.

The election of speakers and deputy speakers saw leaders backed by Kenya Kwanza win the seats with even a section of Azimio la Umoja leaders backing them.

Among those who won the elective seats are Former Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula who was elected National Assembly speaker and Former Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi who became the Senate Speaker.

Most of Azimio leader had to concede defeat in the second round of voting.

The voting exercise showed an opposition that was badly wounded with a leadership deficit considering that they could not consolidate their numbers.
