State House spokesperson Kanze Dena has stated that President Uhuru Kenyatta has delivered tremendously in the big four agenda during his second term.
In an update via State House Twitter, Kanze said that the Big Four Agenda is what the president has tremendously concentrated on.
“President Kenyatta's key focus in his second term has been the Big4Agenda and has delivered tremendous progress in the blueprint's four pillars: food security; manufacturing; affordable housing; and Universal Health Coverage (UHC),” said Kanze.
Kanze added that the implementation of the Big 4 Agenda programs was to a large scale disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic, which meant that for two years, the government's priorities had to be readjusted to fit the changing dynamics including rolling out incentives and subsidies to support the economy.
"The Government takes up debt for development purposes and the projects for which Kenya takes up credit can be seen by all. More importantly is that as a country, we are able to service our debt obligations," she stated.
Her comments come even as the Deputy President continues to blame the president for sabotaging the implementation of the Big Four Agenda.
According to the DP, the big four agenda was frustrated by the Handshake between the president and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
But on his side, the president has been defending his step to have peace with Raila, saying that the country has been more united since the handshake than before.
