Through his family, former Kieni Legislator Nemesyus Warugongo noted that the MP had been admitted at Nairobi Hospital for a period of five months hence the hefty bill.

Warugongo’s eldest son Stanley Maina noted that his dad was diagnosed with severe pneumonia which he has been battling since December 2019.

The family has organized a funds drive on November 26, 2020, at Panafric Hotel in Nairobi hoping to raise funds to clear the outstanding bill.

Anyone who wants to help the family can send their contributions through Pay Bill number 192369.

Warugongo was elected to Parliament in 2007 through the Party of National Unity and served for one term.
