The Suna East MP was required to appear before the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on April 5.

Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed has been summoned by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

Through a tweet on Monday, the vocal MP revealed details of a summon from the DCI over the stoning incident of ODM leader Raila Odinga's chopper in Soy Constituency.

Junet was required by John Gachomo, DCI Head of investigations, to appear before the directorate on Tuesday, April 5, barely days after the incident in Uasin Gishu County.

My name is John Gachomo from DCI headquarters, I am kindly summoning you to our offices for an interview on Tuesday 5th April, 2022 in regards to the stoning of Hon Raila Odinga’s chopper in soy constituency Uasin Gishu County. Kindly comply," Junet tweeted.

This comes even as Soy MP Caleb Kositany and his Kapseret counterpart Oscar Sudi recorded statements with the DCI in Nakuru over the incident.

The two lawmakers were alleged to be behind the plan that led to the stoning of Mr. Odinga's chopper.

They have since said it was a political witch-hunt and that they were being targeted because of their association with Deputy President William Ruto.

"As politicians, we should desist from hiring goons to heckle others even at funerals. It is not African. The police know from those who have recorded statements. They have given names of those who ferried youth to the venue,” Kositany stated.

Junet had accompanied Raila to the burial of Mzee Jackson Kibor on April 1 before they encountered the unfortunate incident.
