The young UDA politician was traveling on a public matatu before the accident

Nandi Hills constituency aspirant Wesley Kibet Kogo commonly known as Tingeet has died in a grisly road accident.

According to reports, the young politician died after the car he was traveling in was involved in a tragic road accident in Kangemi, Nairobi.

Confirming the sad news, his family said Kogo was heading to Kass FM studios for a morning interview show before the unfortunate event that claimed his life. It is believed that Kogo was traveling on a public matatu before the unfortunate happened.

Kogo was set to face off with among others, the incumbent Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter for the UDA party ticket in the party's nominations set for the 14th of April.

From the photos shared from the scene of the accident, the matatu which Kogo was traveling in (Classic Shuttle) rammed into a bus from behind and badly damaged in the process.
