The man is alleged to have murdered his daughter in a tea plantation.

Residents of Saseta area in Bomet County woke up on Friday to an unfortunate incident as a man allegedly killed his 3-year-old daughter.

According to Konoin Sub-County police boss Tom Achiya, the 25-year-old man, Titus Rono is alleged to have murdered his daughter in a tea plantation.

Mr. Achiya further noted that the crime scene was a kilometer away from the suspect’s home who later committed suicide by hanging himself a few spits away from the crime scene.

The area chief Emmy Ng'etich intimated that Rono was involved with a domestic dispute with his wife who narrowly escaped death.

The bodies of Rono and his daughter were moved to Kapkatet Hospital Referral mortuary awaiting an autopsy.

The incident comes a day after a man in Nandi allegedly killed his wife and three children before surrendering himself to the police.

Philip Lokuruen, aged 40, is reported to have confessed to the police that he killed his wife Rispa Chelimo, aged 35, and his three children Ian Kipkosgei, aged 11, Brenda Cheruto, aged 9, and Linus Kipkosgei, aged 7.
