Residents have threatened to shift political camps in the event the DP and his UDA party will not address their vote-rigging concerns.

A resident of the Bomet county, captured in a viral video, has appeared to warn the UDA faction of dire consequences in the event the alleged shambolic exercise continues.

"Tunataka haki, Ona sasa watu walipiga kura usiku alafu mnasema tutulie. Hiyo tumekataa. Deputy President, ukijaribu kutulazimishia hii kitu, tunaambia Raila karibu Bomet. Mukijaribu, tutaenda Azimio," the voter who identified himself as Patrick said.

His remarks came in the wake of pre-marked ballot papers being found and destroyed at Tenwek polling centres.

The ballot papers were allegedly found in the possession of nominations officials who a section of politicians protested against.

The UDA primaries in Bomet County turned chaotic on Thursday morning after marked ballot papers were discovered in a house where nominations officials were residing.

The incumbent senator Christopher Lagat, aspiring Senator Wilson Sossion, and Former Petroleum CAS John Mosonik are among those who demanded the postponement of the exercise.

The group, which was speaking in Tenwek, lamented over the exercise saying it was already predetermined as the marked ballot papers were done in favour of specific candidates.

"Our people have managed to find these pre-marked ballot papers. We are asking the Returning Officers to engage the National Elections Board to engage and call of this exercise."

Mosonik on his part said the exercise should be called off given that it has begun on a bad note.
