The Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition party has been registered by the Registrar of Political Parties.

Murang'a County Woman Representative Sabina Chege and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho have landed plum roles in the newly-registered Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition party.

In a gazette notice on Thursday, April 14, by Registrar of Political Parties Ann Nderitu, Sabina and Joho were named as Council Members of the coalition.

Other Council Members in the coalition were Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, KANU chairman Gideon Moi, Taveta MP Naomi Shaban, Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu, DAP-K leader Wafula Wamunyinyi and Abdi Noor Omar Farah.

Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed was named both a Council Member and the Secretary General of the National Coalition Executive Committee (NCEC).

President Uhuru Kenyatta will chair the Coalition Council while former Prime Minister Raila Odinga was named the Party Leader and Council Member.

In the gazette notice, Wycliffe Oparanya, Edan Keynan, Ken Nyaundi, David Murathe, Enoch Wambua, David Pkosing, Lucy Nyoroka Mworia, Mishi Mboko, Naisula Lesuuda, Abdul Haji, Maoka Maore, Junet, Opiyo Wandayi, Isabella Wangechi, Caroline Wanjiru Karugu, Rose Museo Mumo, and Solomon Kuria were all listed as officials to the National Coalition Executive Council.

Former Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju was named the Executive Director. The coalition party will consist of 26 political parties.
