National Elections Board chair Anthony Mwaura said the primaries will be done in strict compliance with the party rules

The UDA party will conduct repeat and fresh nominations exercises on Wednesday, April 20 and Thursday, April 21 this week.

National Elections Board chair Anthony Mwaura in a press statement on Sunday said the primaries will be done in strict compliance with the party rules.

Kamukunji and Roysambu constituencies in Nairobi will hold a repeat nominations exercise on Wednesday, April 20.

The Deputy President William Ruto-led party will also conduct fresh primaries for MP's seats.

The party will have nominations in Embakasi East on Wednesday. Kilome and Makueni constituencies will hold theirs on Thursday.

Mogotio constituency in Baringo county will also conduct repeat polls.

This follows protests from a section of aspirants that the exercise was not transparent.

Aspirant Reuben Kiborek protested the award of the ticket to the incumbent MP Daniel Kamuren who was declared the winner of the exercise held on Thursday, April 15. The exercise will be repeated on Thursday, April 21.

The UDA party will conduct joint nominations with the ANC party in Mathare and Dagoretti North constituencies, on Wednesday. The exercise will help them get a formidable candidate to face the Azimio La UmojaOne Kenya Alliance faction.

The UDA party has also scheduled repeat primaries for Members of County Assemblies in several Nairobi wards on Wednesday.

Landi Mawe, Nairobi City Central, Ngara, Pangani and Ziwani/Kariokor in the Starehe constituency will have repeat polls.

The UDA party will conduct repeat polls in Mowlem ward only in Embakasi West Constituency, 

Roysambu, Githurai, Kahawa and Kahawa west wards in Roysambu will also have repeat primaries.

Repeat polls will also be conducted in Dandora (ii), Dandora (iii) and Dandora (iv) wards in the Embakasi North constituency,

Airbase, California, Eastleigh North, Eastleigh South and Pumwani wards in the Kamukunji constituency will also have repeat polls.
