Just a day after President Uhuru Kenyatta accused his Deputy William Ruto of allegedly absconding duties, Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has come out guns blazing directed at the head of state.
Addressing the press on Thursday, April 21, the seemingly agitated Kimani fired salvos at President Uhuru, saying he has no moral authority to accuse his deputy of absconding duties when he had rendered him jobless since 2018.
According to the Bahati legislator, Uhuru took away all the responsibilities that belonged to his deputy and allegedly handed them over to Interior CS Fred Matiang'i.
"You rendered Ruto jobless and gave all his work to CS Fred Matiang'i. You went to Mombasa and lied to teachers that Ruto absconded his duties, he is like a bird whose tree was cut down and he had to look for a new home, don't blame Ruto or speak ill against him," warned Kimani Ngunjiri.
This was after President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday, April 20, accused Ruto of engaging in political bickering over State projects and misfortunes instead of providing solutions for the problems.

Uhuru, who was addressing secondary school principals during the official opening of the Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (Kessha) conference in Mombasa, said Ruto wants to be the president in August yet he has absconded his duties since 2018.
“Why can't you solve the current problems? Why do you want to be a leader? stop crying to voters about the country’s problems yet you have been holding leadership positions while doing nothing in office," stated Uhuru.
But on his part, MP Ngunjiri hit out at Uhuru saying Ruto helped him out in 2013 when no leader wanted to be associated with him.
According to the MP, Uhuru is ungrateful and should stop meddling with DP Ruto's political affairs ahead of the August polls.
"In 2013 you looked for someone to assist you but there was nobody apart from William Ruto who dumped Raila and come to your rescue, you have repaid him back with attacks. Your 10 years are over, retire peacefully like Kibaki least you risk being remembered for all the bad things that happened in this country" he added
"You have taken all those people who fought you, who lacked respect for you and you have started fighting your deputy with them. You cannot convince Kenya to vote you with Azimio because citizens are suffering but you have not talked about it, why this? yet we have enough security, you are no longer interested with Kenyans, you have failed" claimed Ngunjiri
