The function is expected to start at 10 am at the Nyayo National Stadium.

By then Kenyans are expected to have already seated as they were instructed to be there by 8 am to bid farewell to the country's third president.

The solemn procession will depart from State House at 9:00 am and head to Nyayo Stadium.


At 10:20, heads of State are expected to arrive. President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret are expected to arrive at 10:30 am.

Other dignitaries will be expected to be seated by 10 am.

They include; Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Principal Secretaries, and Members of the Judicial arm of the government among others.

Deputy President William Ruto is expected to arrive at 10:10 am.

At the same time, The National Anthem and East Africa Community (E.A.C) Anthem will be sung.
