Deputy President William Ruto has responded to President Uhuru Kenyatta hours after his speech at Nyayo stadium.

Speaking on Sunday, May 1, during Labour Day celebrations at Nyayo stadium, President Kenyatta hit out at his deputy stating that he had absconded his duties and resorted to inciting Kenyans against him.

The Head of State said that instead of the DP offering solutions, his work was hurling insults at market places.

"Badala ya kuja kunisaidia wewe uko kwa soko na matusi, na wewe unajiita kiongozi. Ati wewe ndio namba ngapi katika Nchi ya Kenya. Namshukuru yule mzee ata kama alikua na mambo yake alikuja kunisaidia," Kenyatta said.

The President proceeded and told him to resign and let him choose a person who is willing to assist him in finding solutions.

“You claim to be my deputy. But if you are blaming me, why don’t you leave your position so that I can get someone else to assist me?”

In a rejoined, the DP told the President he was just a phone call away.

"Sorry, my Boss. I feel your pain. Those you assigned my responsibilities & 'project' mzee have let you down miserably. They bangled our BIG4, killed our party & wasted your 2ND term. Wao ni bure kabisa. Boss, I'm available. Just a PHONE call away. Sadly the last cabinet was 2yrs ago," DP Ruto said.
