  • Kenya's Covid-19 cases rise to 78,512
  • The death toll hits 1,409

Kenya has recorded 727 cases out of a sample size of 4,913 bringing the cumulative number of cases in the country to 78,512.

On Tuesday CAS Mercy Mwangangi announced that 17 more patients have succumbed to the novel coronavirus bringing the death toll to 1,409.

An additional 806 patients recovered, with 701 being from the Home Based Care program while 105 discharged from various health facilities.

The CAS reported that the total number of recoveries now stands at 52,709.

Nairobi has 306, Kiambu 122, Kitui 38, Uasin Gishu 33, Kajiado 27, Machakos 25, Muranga 22, Busia 21, Mombasa 19, Garissa 17, Turkana 17, Kisumu 14 and Kilifi 13.

Nyeri 8, Nakuru 7, Kirinyaga 6, Kwale 6, Baringo 5, Embu 4, West Pokot 4 Siaya 4, Isiolo 3, Kisii 3, Makueni 2 and Mandera 1.
