President William Ruto takes oath of office.

According to a section of netizens, Balala was looking for a position in Ruto’s government and that is why he has been sending the kind words to him.

The netizens told the CS that he could have campaigned for Ruto asking him to tone down his congratulatory messages to the new president claiming that he was embarrassing himself.

Below are a few reactions as captured by Nairobi Leo.

Ruto took his oath of office on Tuesday pledging to protect, preserve and defend the Constitution of Kenya and uphold the dignity of the people of Kenya.

"I swear that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to the Republic of Kenya; that I will obey, preserve, protect and defend this Constitution of Kenya, as by law established, and all other laws of the Republic; and that I will protect and uphold the sovereignty, integrity and dignity of the people of Kenya” Ruto said as he took oath of office.

He is then expected to name his Cabinet after taking over the reins from former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
