In the coalition agreement, Mudavadi will be made prime cabinet secretary and Wetangula Speaker.

Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugine Wamalwa has taken a swipe at ANC leader Musalia mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula over demands Deputy President William Ruto set for them in order to earn appointments in his government.

Speaking on Friday in Nairobi during the unveiling of their Governor Candidates running mates, Wamalwa said the two leaders have been duped.

He said the deliverables set for them are unachievable adding that it is tantamount to being shortchanged.

"As a lawyer, Musalia Mudavadi and Wetangula have been duped. They've been given 30 per cent offer of govt with one hand, yet it has been taken with the other hand," Wamalwa, who also doubles up as Devolution CS, said.

"It is impossible for Weta and Mudavadi to deliver 70 per cent. Hapa tunadanganyana. In 2013, Musalia garnered 400,00 votes, how can he garner 70 per cent now?"

Details of how Ruto will share power with his key partners in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance were revealed earlier in the week.

The Kenya Kwanza Alliance is made of three founding members who include the ANC party led by Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetang'ula's Ford Kenya and the UDA party led by the DP.

In their coalition agreement deposited at the Registrar of Political parties, Mudavadi will be allocated the seat of Prime Cabinet Secretary which will be created through an executive order in the event Ruto wins the presidency.

However, the executive order can be challenged in court because it cannot change the structure of government.

For Wetangula, he has been allocated the National Assembly speakers seat.

The two leaders, however, will have to bring 70 per cent of Western Kenya votes to the DP.

The 70 per cent of votes will include 5 counties: Vihiga, Kakamega, Busia, Bungoma and Trans Nzoia.

The details of the coalition agreement further detail that Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi will be made the Speaker of the Senate.

To earn the position, Kingi will be required to bring 50 per cent of 582,631 Kilifi votes to Kenya Kwanza.

Further, the Governor will be required to also win the five parliamentary seats in Kilifi.

For Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua, he will get a cabinet position and if not, he will have a fallback plan of being nominated to the National Assembly and be made a majority leader.

To earn the favours, Mutua will be required to bring on board 35 per cent of the 1.7 million Ukambani votes.
