IEBC set May 16 as the deadline for naming the running mate for both presidential and governor candidates.

The naming of the running mate comes even as reports of sharp divisions pitting Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Azimio emerge.

Already, celebrations have rocked KICC as Kenyans wait for the unveiling.

Three names were submitted to Raila Odinga by the Azimiuo selection panel.

The names are said to be Narc Kenya Martha Karua, Peter Kenneth and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

As Kenyans wait with bated breath for the naming of the running mate, a number of leaders have arrived at KICC, Nairobi ahead of the naming.

The leaders include:

Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni

Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana

Narc party leader Charity Ngilu

Azimio Executive Director Rapahael Tuju

Kanu secretary general Nick Salat

ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna

UDP party leader Cyrus Jirongo
