Moses Kuria has named his running mate in the Kiambu gubernatorial race ahead of August polls.

Kiambu County gubernatorial hopeful Moses Kuria has unveiled his running mate ahead of the August 9 polls.

At a press conference on Monday, May 16, the Gatundu South MP named Faith Mwaura to be his deputy.

The vocal lawmaker said that Ms. Mwaura is a degree holder from Daystar University and a master's holder from Heriot Watt University in Scotland.

"Faith Mwaura holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Daystar University and a Masters of Science in Real Estate from Scotland," Kuria stated.

The Chama Cha Kazi party leader added that Ms. Mwaura's qualification underscores his vision for Kiambu County.

"She comes in highly recommended and highly decorated from that sector and particularly this underscores my vision for Kiambu because real estate is going to be at the centre of my programme to transform Kiambu County," he added.

Meanwhile, Nakuru UDA gubernatorial aspirant Susan Kihika has named David Kones as her running mate.

At a press conference, Kihika said that Kones was nominated after a rigorous vetting process.

"We have been having a few weeks of vetting of qualified candidates who had offered themselves to be my running mate. After a rigorous vetting process, we have chosen David Kones," she said.
