The Biscuit Boxes gifted to Wellington seems to have angered a section of social media users

On Friday, Mama Ida Odinga announced she had met with the form three boy who recently gifted Raila Odinga with a miniature Statehouse while on his Azimio la Umoja campaigns in Narok stadium.

This was after Wellington Otieno's well-designed Statehouse Model caught the attention of Raila Odinga in Narok leaving Kenyans wowed.

The boy's magnificent art left Kenyans curious about the talent behind it, with a section of Kenyans calling on Raila's family to recognize and help the boy and his family.

And on Friday, Ida Odinga said she had met with the form three student at Masikonde Day school in Narok county, promising to ensure that Wellington's education and those of other talented children are well taken care of.

"Yesterday I was inspired by a form 3 student at Masikonde Day School in Narok who designed & built a miniature @StateHouseKenya dummy. #Art strengthens critical thinking, through #LindaKesho. I commit to ensuring that Wellington & other talented children like him stay in school," stated Ida Odinga.

However, it was one of her gifts to Wellington and his family that seems to have drawn mixed reactions from netizens. In one of the pictures shared by Ida, the boy and his family could be seen receiving what looked like biscuit boxes.

While some users applauded Ida for the good gesture to Wellington's family, a section of netizens criticized Ida's gift, claiming it was not a replica of the young man's efforts.

"Can't imagine I was thinking it's something else,,,, but when I saw even my friends are amused... This is unfair to the boy child," read one comment.

"Hope this is an imported box juu us Kenyans can assume it's mere biscuits," added another user.

"Surely they deserved more. Buy the art piece to encourage the boy that talent pays" said Jose Frida.
