He was recently appointed to the Kenya Kwanza Alliance economic task force by Deputy President William Ruto. 

Mr. Edward Mwachinga, who was recently appointed to the Kenya Kwanza Alliance economic task force by Deputy President William Ruto, is dead. 

Mr. Mwachinga is said to have collapsed and died at his home in Nairobi County. 

A family member said that the deceased had been diagnosed with a heart condition last year and had been receiving treatment. 

Mr. Mwachinga was also the Chairperson of the National Election Board of the Pamoja African Alliance Party (PAA).

Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi mourned Mr. Mwachinga on Twitter saying," Saddened by the passing on of my brother & Chairperson of the National Election Board of the Pamoja African Alliance Party (PAA), Mr. Edward Mwachinga. Mr. Edward was recently appointed to the Kenya Kwanza Alliance National Economic Task Force where we envisaged immeasurable input from him."
