The Azimio leader is among the top 100 notable alumni of the prestigious university.

Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga has been listed among the top 100 notable alumni of Leipzig University, Germany.

In a quick search by Nairobileo.co.ke, the former Prime Minister's name appeared at number 41 on the list of the notable alumnus of the prestigious university.

The ODM leader was described as a politician, university teacher and businessman by the university.

In the biography, Raila’s achievements throughout his career were also listed.

“Raila Amolo Odinga is a Kenyan politician, presidential aspirant and businessman who served as the Prime Minister of Kenya from 2008 to 2013. He is assumed as the Leader of Opposition in Kenya since 2013,” read part of the biography.

The ODM leader was also described as having held positions in the Cabinet and his appointment as the High Representative for Infrastructure Development at the African Union was recognized.

This comes even as Deputy President William Ruto on Thursday, June 16, questioned the former Prime Minister’s academic credentials.

The DP was responding to the ongoing saga regarding Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja’s degree from Team University in Uganda.

"Kama kuna mtu ako na certificate ambayo haijulikani ni candidate wenu wa Rais wa Azimio. Kabla hamjatuambia maneno ya Sakaja, tuonyesheni candidate wenu wa kiti cha Urais alisoma wapi na nani, na mwalimu wake alikua na nani. Wacheni utapeli." Ruto stated.
