Deputy President William Ruto's Sunday service at the Jesus Winner Ministry in Roysambu Nairobi has elicited mixed reactions online.
This was after the church's decision to run a series of William Ruto's campaign photos on one of the screens molded at the alter as the service went on.
In a video shared from the service by Ruto's team, William Ruto's campaign photos could be seen playing from the screen even as the praise and worship session continued.
It is a decision that sparked heated reactions online with a number of users coming out to throw jabs at Ruto and his team for allegedly taking the church hostage with their campaign materials.
Many called for decorum in the house of prayer, urging Ruto and his team to respect the church and keep off politics.
Ruto is later expected at Jacaranda grounds for the Kenya Kwanza rally after the church service.
Taking to his Twitter page on Sunday morning, Ruto wished Kenyans a blessed Sunday, saying he is attending a church service and thereafter proceed to Jacaranda grounds with his team for the rally.
He welcomed all his supporters to the Jacaranda rally after the church service.
"The Kenya Kwanza fraternity and the entire hustler nation wishes a blessed Sunday to all na tukutane Jacaranda after church," stated Ruto
