National Treasury Chief Administration Secretary Nelson Gaichuhie has lost Sh4 million and jewelry worth Sh500,000.

The valuables are alleged to have been stolen by their house help.

Gaichuhie and his wife Charity Waithera had left for work on Wednesday and when coming back on the same day, they found their house help Miriam Mwelu Muinde missing.

The wife is reported to have been the one who rushed to the wardrobe to confirm whether their cash was still there.

The family of the CAS says they had left Sh6 million in the house only to find Sh4m  missing.

Police said there was no breaking into the wardrobe meaning it was easily accessible for the house girl.

The house girl was last traced to Ongata Rongai and Kiserian before switching off her phone.

A team of detectives was dispatched to various places including her rural home, friends’ houses, and relatives' houses but no arrest or recovery had been made
