Chebukati said there will be no extra ballot paper that will be printed.

IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati has divulged that the first batch of marked ballot papers will arrive today (Thursday).

"Procurement has been finalized and what we are doing now is the printing of ballot papers. We are receiving the first batch of ballot papers in the country today," Chebukati said.

In a meeting with KEPSA in Nairobi, Chebukati dismissed claims that there will be ballot papers arriving from the neighboring country.

He said all the papers will be received through the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

"All the ballot papers will arrive through the Jomo Kenyatta international airport. No Ballot papers will arrive through Uganda. I have seen several reports but as long as we are following the law then we are not worried," he said.

At the same time, Chebukati said there will be no extra ballot paper that will be printed since the voter turnout is never 100 percent turnout.

"We are printing 20,120,258 ballot papers for the presidential race because the spoiled votes will be accommodated in there. All the ballots will arrive through JKIA," he said.

The ballot papers were printed by a Greek firm, Inform Lykos.

Chebukati said the ballot papers of a presidential election will be the last to be printed.
