Mwendwa was on trial on a charge of conspiracy to defraud the federation of Sh38 million.

His trial, however, failed to take off.

The prosecution on several occasions sought adjournment because witnesses were not ready to take to the stand.

Mwendwa had been arrested in December 2021 and charged with conspiracy to defraud the federation of Sh38 million.

He was consequently forced to step down as the president of FKF.

And on Wednesday, the prosecution told the court they were yet to record witness statements before the case was dismissed.
