Wanga was declared the winner in the Homa Bay gubernatorial race after garnering 244,559 votes against Evans Kidero who got 154,182 votes.

Homa Bay gubernatorial candidate Evans Kidero will challenge Gladys Wanga’s win in Court. 

Wanga was declared the winner in the Homa Bay gubernatorial race after garnering 244,559 votes against Evans Kidero who got 154,182 votes.

However, Kidero now claims the win is illegitimate alleging that he won six out of eight constituencies. 

According to the results, Wanga led in seven out of eight constituencies while Kidero won in one. 

ODM’s Gladys Wanga wins Homa Bay Governor.

Here is the list of Governors who have been elected; 

1. Bomet County - Hillary Barchok was on Friday declared the winner after defeating his close rival Isaac Ruto. Barchok garnered 158,798 votes while Ruto got 137,323 votes.

2. Trans Nzoia County - Former Regional Commissioner George Natembeya has won the Trans Nzoia governor seat. He garnered 158,919 votes against his competitor Chris Wamalwa of Ford Kenya came in second with 79,020 votes. 

3. Busia County - ODM's Paul Otuoma got 164,478 votes to clinch the seat while John Sakwa of ANC emerged second with 92,144 votes.

4. Kisumu County - Governor Anyang Nyong'o was reelected after garnering 319, 957 votes against his competitor Jacktone Ranguma who got 100, 600 votes.

5. Nyamira County - Nyamira Governor Amos Nyaribo of UPA was reelected by polling 82,090 votes, his closest opponent Walter Nyambati of UDA garnered 49,281 votes.

6. Uasin Gishu County - Jonathan Bii of UDA has been elected governor after garnering 214,036 votes edging Independent candidate Zedekiah Bundotich who garnered 127,013 votes.

7. Migori County - Migori County - ODM’s Ochilo Ayacko won the Migori Governor seat with 175,226 votes; DAP-K’s John Pesa came in second with 126,171 votes.
