"Allow me to celebrate my brother Hon Phelix Jalango. New MP Langata. It’s been a journey bro,a long one. But we thank God all has come to a beautiful beginning of a new chapter in your decorated career. I’ve seen you grow from a promising artist to an established brand and now a futuristic leader. Langata is lucky to have a mercurial leader like you. May God continue leading you and opening more doors for you. The entire creative industry is behind you," he stated.
On the other hand, Nixon Korir conceded defeat and congratulated Jalang'o via his Facebook page.
“From the results that we have tallied at the Generali centre, my competitor Jalang’o has a lead and I want to congratulate him as he prepares to take the mantle and move Langata forward
"To the people of Langata, I sincerely thank you for according me an opportunity to be your Member of Parliament for the last 5 years. It's been a great opportunity that gave me an avenue to contribute to our nation-building and service to the people,'' Korir said.
