The wife, who managed to jump off the car, was rescued by good Samaritans who later rushed her to the hospital.

A 34-year-old man stabbed his estranged wife at least four times in the neck before setting himself and their two-year-old daughter ablaze inside their car at Nasra estate, Njiru area, in Nairobi.  

According to a report filed at Soweto Police Station, police discovered the body of Dennis Musyoka inside a Honda vezel having been burnt partly. 

The deceased is said to have requested her ex-wife identified as Elizabeth to bring their daughter to him so that they can bond with her. 

The lady is said to have arrived in the said motor vehicle.

The man, who the police report says was in possession of a bag, entered into the car and brandished a knife from it. 

It is then that he stabbed the ex-wife. 

The wife, who managed to jump off the car, was rescued by God Samaritans who later rushed her to the hospital. 

The man then set himself ablaze together with a daughter. 

A knife and partly burnt Jerrycan suspected to be carrying petrol were discovered at the scene. 

The woman and the girl were rushed to Mama Lucy Hospital. 

The mother is in stable condition while the baby was referred to Kenyatta Hospital for specialized medical care.

The man’s body has been moved to Mama Lucy Hospital Mortuary awaiting autopsy.
