Raila is challenging the victory of his main challenger William Ruto in the Supreme Court.

Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga has divulged the details of his conversation with António Guterres,the secretary-general to the United Nations. 

Addressing the press in Nairobi on Saturday, August 27, Raila revealed that Guteress lauded his resolve to pursue electoral justice through legal means.

"Two days ago I got a phone call from UN secretary-general Antonio Guterres. He called me to talk about the development in our country and the region generally. I briefed him on the outcome of the general election and the processes we have initiated to get a satisfactory solution to this problem,"

"He was grateful for the manner we have behaved and conducted everything up to now. I gave him an assurance that Kenya's democracy has matured and we are determined to pursue legal and constitutional means to resolve the disputes that we have over the decision by the IEBC to try to hijack our victory," he said.

Raila, with his running mate Martha Karua, has filed a petition at the Supreme Court challenging the victory of president-elect William Ruto.

The IEBC chairman declared Ruto as the president-elect after garnering 50.5% of the total valid ballots.

Raila however took issue with the results accusing Chebukati of perpetrating alleged electoral  fraud.
