Former Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has lashed out at the Supreme Court for questioning IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati on why he could not wait to announce the Presidential results on the final day.
This comes after IEBC lawyers said Chebukati could not announce the results of 27 constituencies because there were chaos at the Bomas of Kenya.
"There was an extra day by which Chebukati could have declared the results. Why did he not wait?"
In an apparent response to the question, Kuria said the prevailing circumstance could not allow for the announcement of the results at any other day.

He said if the results could not have been announced on the same day, trouble could have ensued that would have been difficult to contain.
"I find it callous and insensitive to ask why Chebukati could not wait to announce the winner on Tuesday 16th. There was no calm after the storm. Only a lull. Commissioners were injured. The NSAC Coup plotters were still looming large at Bomas," he wrote on Facebook.
"Goons were regrouping. Police were divided- the AP was backing the coup plotters while the GSU were on the side of the people. If Chebukati was to abdicate and the Country descended into an inferno, not even Supreme Court could save us. History would judge him harshly."
