Deputy President William Ruto has weighed in on a court order that saw his team granted access to Nyayo Stadium where they planned to have their last rally.

The DP in response to the Order said the State had planned to lock them out illegally adding that the order has vindicated them.

He said they signed a contract with Sports Kenya and even paid for the venue only to be told otherwise later on.

The DP said in the event they are locked out of the Stadium, they will hold a rally outside the venue just the way they did after they were denied access to Bukhungu Stadium.

But Justice Joseph Sergon, after hearing an application filed by the party suspended the decision temporarily.

"An interim order is granted suspending the implementation by the defendant/respondent by itself, its servants, employees, agents, successors, assignees or anyone acting or claiming through or under the defendant/respondent of the decision contained in the letter dated July 20 withdrawing the availability of the suit premises to the applicant on the 6th July 2022 pending the interpartes hearing of the aforesaid motion," Sergon ruled.
