Dorcas spoke minutes before they proceeded to Kasarani Stadium for the swearing-in ceremony

Deputy President-elect Rigathi Gachagua's wife Dorcas Rigathi has disclosed the one thing she will continue doing for her husband even after he is sworn-in.  

Gachagua is today (Tuesday, September 13) set to take office as the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya.

Speaking ahead of the inauguration, Dorcas noted that she would continue ironing his shirt.

"I iron his shirt. I've already done it. That is very special to us. I also love cooking for my family," Dorcas said.

She divulged that she always helps the husband in dressing himself up an act she hinted at continue doing.

"Today when he comes from the gym, I will help with his dressing and then we'll have breakfast with the family."

She said food sessions always give the family an opportune moment to bond

She noted that she is a family woman and she loved it. 

At the same time, the incoming Deputy President Gachagua also addressed the press where he promised to work on his dress code. 

"People have raised questions about how I dress, but I want to tell them that I had no luxury to think about dressing. I was caring about my life, staying safe. But now that it is all over, in another 3 months, people will like what they see," Gachagua stated. 

Gachagua said he is currently at 94 Kgs and he looks forward to losing 10 Kgs in three months time.

"In three months, I will be in shape and they will love what they see," he said.
